Lakeside Institute of Theology

The mission of Lakeside Institute of Theology is to equip Christians to grow as disciples of Christ, thereby equipping them to also disciple others. The guiding verse of the ministry is to “equip the saints for the work of ministry, to build up the body of Christ . . .” (Ephesians 4:12).  

The Institute offers courses in these three curriculum modules:

Biblical (examples: Old Testament Survey, New Testament Survey, Biblical Interpretation, etc.)

Topical (examples: Biblical History, How to Study the Bible, Comparative Religions, etc.)

Practical (examples: Leadership, Principles of Teaching, Issues in Family Life, etc.)

The structure of this ministry includes two 6-week courses offered in the Fall and Spring semesters, with simple completion assignments required in each course. Upon completion of six 6-week courses, a certificate will be offered in one of the following areas:

  • The Book of Philippians (taught by Mike Tullos) Rm. 233 This Biblical Module course will examine the book of Philippians and its implications for us today
  • The Biblical Perspective (taught by Paul Rummage) Outreach Center Loaves and Fishes Rm.This Topical Module course will examine the biblical basis for missions.
