The missions ministry provides opportunities for people to share the hope and love of Jesus Christ with the poor, hurting and the lost–locally, nationally and globally–through service projects and short-term mission trips. Lakeside has established partnerships with other ministries and churches in Granbury, the U.S., and throughout the world.

COMMUNITY OUTREACH

LOAVES AND FISHES The mission of Loaves & Fishes food pantry is to provide supplemental food to the needy in Granbury and the surrounding area. Loaves and Fishes’ mission is to gather, store and distribute food to those who find themselves in time of special need. A listening ear and spiritual support is given to all. If you are in need of food or know someone who is, loaves and fishes is located down the hill in the Lakeside Ministry Center and is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. In the event of bad weather, Loaves & Fishes will be open or closed based on the decision made by Granbury ISD.

CELEBRATE RECOVERYOur 12-step program is based on the beatitudes. It gives people the tools to recover from hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Each meeting includes a free dinner, a worship gathering with testimonies and teaching, and issue-specific small groups. We also offer Children’s Place for kids kindergarten-5th grade and The Landing for teens. Free childcare is available as well. Celebrate Recovery meets down the hill in the Lakeside Ministry Center.

Tuesday Nights – Dinner at 6:00, Worship at 7:00, Small Groups at 9:00

Friday Nights – Step Studies at 7:00, Friday Night Live Worship at 8:00

COMMUNITY KITCHEN This is not your ordinary soup kitchen, we will welcome our community as neighbors and guests by providing a dignified, respectful, save and relational environment. The team serves a quality family-style nutritional meal with genuine hospitality. How can you help? We need individuals and families for things such as setting up, greeting guests, cooking, serving, cleaning, donations, security, and table‍‍‍ hosts to join our guests.

Second Saturday of Each Month – Dinner starts at 5:15

CARING HEARTS This ministry operates in conjunction with Loaves and Fishes to help those who find themselves in emergency situations with living expenses. We work closely with Mission Granbury to document and work out the best solution for the client. A “Caring Heart” shows the love of Jesus to those who are at a difficult time in their lives.
